What Does Hyundai Ambient Lighting Look Like?
The ambient lighting feature on current Hyundai models comes in two stages – a 10-color setup and an expanded 64-color setup. The lights are located throughout the cabin, usually on the center console, door panels, dashboard, and wireless charging tray.
On the latest Hyundai models, such as the new Ioniq 6 sedan, Hyundai has introduced even more customization. The interior team at Hyundai has been developing color combinations, like the one seen above, to match specific ‘moods’ for the occupants.
How Do I Access Ambient Lighting In My Hyundai?
The ambient lighting menu in your Hyundai is found on the central control screen. To access your ambient lighting, go to ‘Setup’ and then ‘Vehicle’. Once you’re in the Vehicle menu, there should be an option called ‘Lighting’.
In that menu, you’ll have an Ambient lighting setting, where you can change color, brightness, and other settings. Depending on your Hyundai model, you’ll have access to a variety of different colors and also ‘moods’ – color combinations designed by Hyundai.
The Ambient lighting menu also allows you to link your lights to the drive mode. This setting will automatically change the interior lighting colors to match the driving mode you select, such as Sport or Economy.

The below list is every current Hyundai with Ambient Lighting as a standard feature. This means you don’t need to pay anything extra here – if you get one of the models below, it will have ambient lighting. We’ve listed those models with the 10-color spec and any car with the extended 64-color spec.

The only downside is that you cant choose ambient lighting as a standalone feature. To include the Ambient lighting option, you need to buy a higher-spec model, which includes other optional extras and drives the price up. If you’re only interested in ambient lighting, Hyundai could offer more individual options for owners.
