The Most Expensive Jaguar Cars in 2023

Jaguar has always held a reputation as one of the finest British automotive brands. With a long history of building some of the greatest sports cars of all time, the company has suffered in the past few decades with different owners. Right now, Jaguar is in a fantastic place, partnering with Land Rover, and they are back to creating some excellent driving machines.

When most people picture a Jaguar, they might think of the classics like the E Type, or more modern saloons such as the X Type. The current model range at Jaguar is a little different though, and although they still honor their past success, there are plenty of surprises in their lineup.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the current models you can buy from Jaguar. In this list you’ll probably find some cars you recognize, along with some surprises, so let’s get into it and find out more.

So what are the most expensive Jaguar models in 2023?

In this article we’ll go through the five most expensive models you can currently buy from Jaguar, and we’ll talk through their good and bad points. If you’ve never heard of Jaguar this will be a great introduction to the brand, and if you’re a Jaguar fan I hope this helps if you’re looking for your next car.

5. Jaguar F Pace – $52,400 / £46,250 / €67,780

Jaguar F Pace
The F-Pace is a mid-tier SUV

The first car on our list is the Jaguar F Pace, the brand’s mid-tier SUV. When the F Pace was launched it was the first time Jaguar had created an SUV, and as far as first attempts go it was a great car. Fast forward a few generations, and the latest F Pace has seen some major upgrades.

Engine choice is dependent on your region; in the US you have the option of a 246 bhp or 395 bhp petrol engine, whereas UK and European customers get a wider range of petrol and diesel alternatives. For me, the pick of the lineup is the P250 model, which has enough power to get you from 0-60 in less than 7 seconds.

The exterior styling of the F Pace is one of its best features – Jaguar created a sport-focused design that hasn’t compromised on interior space, with plenty of room for passengers in the front and rear. As with every Jaguar, the ride quality is excellent here, and the F Pace handles itself reasonably well off-road too, although it can’t compete with equivalent Land Rover models.

There are some areas of the F Pace where Jaguar could improve. Firstly, it’s an expensive vehicle in a crowded sector of the market – when you have options like the BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, and Audi Q5, the F Pace has some serious competition. It also suffers from a slightly underwhelming infotainment system, although Apple Carplay and Andriod Auto both feature, so that problems are easily solved. Finally, with larger wheel setups, the road noise can become irritating on some surfaces.

4. Jaguar I Pace – $71,300 / £66,350 / €76,815

Jaguar I Pace
The I Pace is the first electric vehicle from Jaguar

Next on our list is the Jaguar I Pace – the all-electric alternative to the F Pace. That comparison is slightly unfair on the I Pace though because it’s way more than that. In fact, it’s one of the best-kept secrets in the electric vehicle market. It’s also one of the best looking too, but how does it drive?

The I Pace currently comes with a single powertrain option, featuring 400 bhp and a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds. These numbers aren’t incredible for an electric SUV, but it’s the handling of the I Pace that will surprise you the most. For a vehicle weighing over two tonnes, it handles incredibly well, and Jaguar has clearly invested the time to make this feel sporty. Battery life isn’t as impressive, with long charging times compared to rivals.

Look past the performance, and the I Pace has plenty of practicality too. For starters, there is space for 5 people and a good amount of storage, both inside the car and also in the front and rear sections (with no engine present you get that extra ‘frunk’ space). Technology is everywhere in the I Pace, with enough chargers for a family and a lot of the usual driver aids. Material quality is high as you would expect from Jaguar, but some features are locked behind expensive options.

Like the F Pace, one of the weaker areas in the I Pace is the infotainment system. It’s manageable and works well for most functions, but once you compare it to the latest offerings from Audi or BMW the weaknesses start to show. Some of you may be fans, but I don’t think the touchscreen heavy design works well either, and physical buttons would be been a better choice.

3. Jaguar F Type Coupe – $73,400 / £58,275 / €66,790

Jaguar F Type
The F Type is the successor to the famous E Type

We are moving away from SUVs now, and into more familiar Jaguar territory. In third place, we have the F Type coupe, Jaguar’s spiritual successor to the famous E Type. But does it live up to expectations?

The F Type is the car most people think of when they picture a modern Jaguar. They stand out on the road, both in design and the soundtrack, and driving an F Type gives you a feeling that you don’t get in many other cars

Engine selection depends on your region, but all areas get the range-topping V8, with up to 500 bhp depending on your spec.  Even if smaller engines are available, you want the V8 – trust me. Performance is good, but that engine noise is the selling point, make no mistake.

The exterior design of the F Type is as good as you would expect from the makers of the E Type. Inside the cabin is a setup clearly focused on the driver, and the slightly cramped space reminds you that you’re in a sports car. The storage space isn’t great either, compared to other cars in the sector – but I don’t think anyone is buying an F Type for that.

I think it’s worth mentioning the price though. If you’re after a V8 F Type the price skyrockets, and you’re almost in Aston Martin and Porsche 911 territory. The F Type is a fantastic sports car, but is it worth that much? I’m not so sure

2. Jaguar F Type Convertible – $76,700 / £66,925 / €73,930

The F-Type convertible is Jaguars second most expensive model

Next up on our list is the F Type Convertible. As with most sports cars the convertible version of the F Type has a premium price tag, but apart from that, there isn’t a lot of difference. You still get the fantastic V8, and the interior is mostly identical.

Of course, the choice between this and the coupe will come down to practicality and the need for a convertible. Performance wise this version of the F Type suffers, and the roof storage makes an impractical car even worse.

Those elements probably won’t matter to any of you after a convertible sports car. The F Type convertible is still incredible to drive and stunning to look at, and for anyone who can’t afford the ridiculous prices for a convertible E Type, this is the next best thing.

1. Jaguar F Pace SVR – $89,500 / £81,510 / €111,870

Jaguar F Pace SVR
The F Pace SVR is the ultimate Jaguar SUV

Finally, we have the F Pace SVR. For anyone unfamiliar with the different Jaguar specs, SVR is their ‘Special Vehicles Operation’ – which is the division responsible for taking a standard model and turning the performance dial up to 11.

The SVR is not your standard F Pace. Instead of a modest 2L petrol engine, you get 550 bhp from a supercharged V8. In a family SUV. This is essentially the role of the SVO team, to design and build low-volume, extreme versions of the standard Jaguar models.

Let’s say you’re in the market for a supercharged V8 SUV. Is the F Pace SVR any good? It might surprise you, but the SVR is a car you could live with every day. It has the space and storage of the standard F Pace, and in true Jaguar style, it’s an excellent car to drive. Ok, the infotainment is still a letdown, but it’s a minor issue. And you’ll be spending a lot of time refueling with that engine.

Unfortunately, as the most expensive Jaguar vehicle currently on sale, the F Pace SVR is fighting a losing battle. At that price range, if you’re in the market for a powerful SUV there are too many options from Germany, that most buyers won’t even consider this car.

Summary

Jaguar E Type
Do any of the current Jaguar cars match the classic E Type?

There we are – the five most expensive Jaguar models on sale currently – and the list might surprise you. Jaguar has always held a reputation for impressive sports cars, and the F Type continues that strong tradition, even in a crowded market.

5. Jaguar F Pace – $52,400 / £46,250 / €67,780

4. Jaguar I Pace – $71,300 / £66,350 / €76,815

1. Jaguar F Pace SVR – $89,500 / £81,510 / €111,870

More eye-catching for me has been Jaguar’s transformation into SUVs over the last few years. This has come from their merger with Land Rover,  but it’s still good to see Jaguar creating something a bit different in the SUV market. That’s definitely true with the F Pace SVR, and I hope there are more models to come in the future.
