Heated seats are one of the most popular options for most owners and one of the most practical too. If you’re in a warmer climate, then adding heated seats to your Ford won’t seem that important, but on colder days, there’s nothing better than having a heated seat for early morning commutes.
With that in mind, how easy is it to buy a Ford with heated seats included? Across the current Ford range, there are plenty of models with heated seats as an option and plenty more with this as a standard feature. With many Ford models and trim levels, it’s not easy finding the vehicle with the options you want, so we’ve tried to help you with this article.
In the below section, we’ve covered every current Ford model and separated them into three categories. First, we’ll cover those Ford models with heated seats as a standard feature. Next, we’ll look at how much it costs to add heated seats to any cars that don’t include this option as standard. Finally, there are some models that don’t include heated seats, even as an optional extra.
Let’s get started!
How to access Heated Seats in your Ford
Depending on your Ford, you have two ways of operating the heated seats. On new models, you’ll find the heated seat controls within your central infotainment screen. There is a heated seat icon on the bottom row (near the A/C button), and you can adjust the heated seat power from here. There is a separate icon near the passenger for their heated seat, which is operated independently.
On other Ford models, you have a more traditional physical button. These allow you to select from three levels of intensity, with a fourth press turning the heated seats off. There will be a separate control for your front passenger too.
Ford Models with Heated Seats as standard

We’ve included the cost of adding heated seats too, as some models need you to add an options pack.
Ford Cars
There are two Mustang models that come with heated seats as an optional extra. These are the two lowest specs of Mustang, meaning you get heated seats across the entire range. You’ll have to add an expensive options pack if you want heated seats here though.

Ford Models without Heated Seats
Finally, the below Ford models don’t come with any options to add heated seats. These are the lowest trim level models, and they come without most ‘premium’ features. There are no Ford cars without heated seats, so we’ll just cover SUV and Truck models.

The lowest-spec versions of each Ford SUV come without heated seats. On most models, this is the ‘base’ variant, but a few of the SUV models are named differently.

- F-150 XL
Are Heated Seats worth adding to your Ford?
Overall, you need to decide how often you’ll use the heated seats in your Ford, and that depends on your local weather & climate. I’m in a mild climate and use my heated seats for around 4 to 5 months every year, so I definitely get my money’s worth from them. If you’re in a similar climate and you’re having to defrost your car before heading to work, you need heated seats.
If you’re in a warmer climate, it’s less clear if this is an option you need. Heated seats are always helpful, and even if it’s not that cold, you will benefit on longer drives from turning the heated seats on occasionally. Plus, the options packs have a few features that everyone wants, so even if you don’t need heated seats, they will probably come with those option packs.
